J. C. TAE KWON DO
Master Waddell is a 5th Dan Black Belt (WTF No_09901565) under Grand Master Myong Sok Namkung Mayes. He has studied the art of Tae Kwon Do for over 34 years. At an early age, Master Waddell has always had a passion for martial arts. Coming from a Korean and American family, it was natural for him to study the art of Tae Kwon Do. From the beginning, Tae Kwon Do was a natural calling.
In the beginning, Master Waddell was taught a Traditional Tae Kwon Do style of Moo Do Kwan and Tang Soo Do. Early on it was instilled upon him the value of precise techniques and the exact striking points on an opponent. For the next five years these techniques were practiced time and time again, eventually, becoming second nature. Then a strange turn of events, his school was taken over by then, Master Myong Sok Namkung and her brother Master Kong Suk Namkung. From there, his level of skill skyrocketed under their instruction. They were able to take the strong foundation of Traditional Tae Kwon Do style and convert it to a more modern style under the World Tae Kwon Do Federation. It was because of them that he was able to fully understand the abilities of a true Tae Kwon Do artist.
As the years progressed Master Waddell had the privilege to train and compete with some of the best. From competing in local and national tournaments, and against teams from around the world. He also had the esteem honor to train along side the Korean National Demonstration team, the Korean Tigers.
With all these years of experience Master Waddell looks to pass on this knowledge onto future generations of Tae Kwon Do artist. He looks to carry on the traditions of the martial art while keeping the modern appeal.
